Tony-SmeraglinoloEngility Holdings has won a $29.6 million engineering and technology support contract under the U.S. Navy‘s Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment program.

The award from the Naval Air Warfare Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, N.J. contains $9.8 million in base funds and two option years that would increase the contract to its full potential value, Engility announced Thursday.

Tony Smeraglinolo, Engility president and CEO, said the contract will continue work by the company’s engineers for the Navy’s ALRE program.

Engility will also perform systems engineering work on new and modernized ALRE and aviation support equipment systems.
