Vermont Health System Seeks New Data Exchange Program; John Evans Comments

healthcare itVermont’s health system and information exchange are planning to introduce a new clinical data exchange program in the state, Government Health IT reported Thursday.

Anthony Brino writes Vermont Information Technology Leaders and Fletcher Allen Health Care intend to open the portals to clinics, hospitals and physicians for providers to gain access to clinical, radiology and transcribed data.

John Evans, CEO of Vermont Information Technology Leaders, told the publication hospitals aim to enhance patient care by viewing clinical data.

Vermont Information Technology Leaders has been partnering with Aetna to use Medicity’s cloud-based exchange, according to the report.
