CSC-logo - ExecutivemosaicComputer Sciences Corp. will offer a commercially-available incident response service to companies that are seeking to acquire tools for combating persistent and evolving threats.

The incident and breach management product has been available to government clients over 20 years and is now on offer to other markets worldwide, CSC said Tuesday.

“While it is not a crime to be hacked, organizations can be found negligent when remiss in their response, and a successful incident response goes a long way toward mitigating losses, regardless of the type of attack,” said Samuel Visner, CSC vice president and general manager for cybersecurity.

According to the company, the service provides all-day access to cybersecurity first responders in the event of a cyber attack and offers services in areas of preparation, response and management to support and post-incident operations.

The company cited a Ponemon Institute study that indicates companies want resources to deter a cyber incident or control damage caused by a breach.
