Big Data, AppsGCS has partnered with Sharpe Engineering to develop streaming analytics products for verticals such as healthcare, cybersecurity and government by combining the companies’ geospatial and big data analytics technologies.

The companies said Tuesday the products will be based on IBM InfoSphere Streams and employ real-time analytical processing applications.

“We will combine our capabilities in geospatial processing and low-latency analytics to perform predictive analysis on high-volume, high-velocity data sets,” said Jim Sharpe, president of Sharpe Engineering.

Alex Philp, GCS’ president, the integration aims to leverage technologies in order to gain business insights and intelligence.

The companies are also targeting the retail and energy verticals, they said.
