Big Data, AppsIntel and Microsoft have introduced new analytics and big data management products that were built around the companies’ existing technology offerings, GCN reported Thursday.

The website reports Intel developed a software suite for government and commercial organizations to analyze, import and manage volumes of datasets in real time.

Intel Data Platform is based on the open-source data processing framework Apache Hadoop and is designed with encryption technology derived from the Xeon line of microprocessors, according to the report.

Intel will offer a free and a subscription-only version of the software as well as provide services such as automation, proactive security fixes and live technical support, according to the article.

GCN reports Microsoft has debuted a self-service business intelligence offering intended to help enterprises run big data queries using a natural language format.

The publication says Power BI for Office 365 features data visualization technology designed to process geocoded data.
