ContractsLeidos has enlisted national security company MacAulay-Brown to provide hardware-in-the-loop simulation and testing services for military programs at the Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.

MacB said Monday it will test weapons systems for readiness and simulate battlefield conditions using an HIL controller.

“HIL-based simulation solutions ensure that today’s complex weapons systems will perform the way they are supposed to without the need to conduct expensive, real-world tests,” said Fred Norman, senior vice president and general manager of MacB’s mission systems group.

The simulated readiness test is expected to avoid the costs of field tests, MacB said.
