Mitre logoJames Cook, MITRE Corp. vice president and director of the Center for Enterprise Modernization, has been named to Federal Computer Week’s Federal 100 list, the company said Wednesday.

Cook first appeared on the list in 2007 for his work with the Internal Revenue Service.

The list of award winners is based on employees that “have gone above and beyond their daily responsibilities and have made a difference in the way technology has transformed their agency or accelerated their agency’s mission.”

The 2014 Federal 100 award was earned by 76 federal government workers, 22 private industry employees and two workers from academia.

“While my name is part of the Federal 100 list, this really represents the work of the men and women at MITRE and our federal sponsors who consistently embrace innovation and enable us to ‘lean forward’ on their behalf every day,” said Cook.

A gala occurred on March 20 for the winners of the award.
