Serco - ExecutiveBizSerco Inc. will continue to carry out non-military operation and maintenance functions at a military base in Canada under a two-year contract extension worth just under $100 million.

The British contractor’s North American subsidiary will continue the work through at least March 2016 under the current 11-year deal, Serco announced Jan. 9.

“Working with the department of national defence, Serco has provided site support services at Goose Bay for over 15 years,” said Paul Dalglish, vice president of Serco’s operations in Canada.

Serco Inc. will help maintain two 10,000-foot runways, more than 200 buildings and an approximately 50,000-square mile training area at the 5 Wing Canadian Forces Base.
