XeroxRobert Zapfel has been named the president of Xerox‘s services business and the corporate executive vice president, effective April 1.

Zapfel will replace Lynn Blodgett, who will retire at the end of 2014, the company announced Monday.

Blodgett, who joined the company in 2010 after the acquisition of Affiliated Computer Services, will assist in Zapfel’s transition to his new roles.

Until 2013, Zapfel was with IBM where he supported its services business.

Zapfel will report directly to Ursula Burns, Xerox chairman and CEO.

“Zapfel brings to Xerox extensive experience in global services with an emphasis on transforming complex operations to customer focused, profitable and sustaining businesses. [He] will help drive Xerox Services’ Five-Plank Strategy to increase customer value and improve our competitiveness and margins,” Burns said.
