Symantec will work to examine events and detect threats by using the Splunk Enterprise 6, which works to consolidate and analyze security information, Splunk said Friday.

The Splunk software platform is intended for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard requirements.

Julie Talbot-Hubbard, chief security officer at Symantec, said the partnership aims to help protect customers and address demands.

“We look forward to seeing the Symantec security team’s accomplishments with Splunk software,” added Haiyan Song, vice president of security markets at Splunk.
