Vormetric has moved to further build up its data security offerings by integrating IBM’s analytics tool for identifying threats into a data security platform.
IBM’s QRadar security information and event management technology has been integrated into Vormetric’s platform for users to view data access information through dashboards, reports and displays, Vormetric said Thursday.
The companies intend for the integrated product to help clients monitor unauthorized data access and respond to threats or insider attacks.
Derek Tumulak, vice president of product management at Vormetric, said the companies aim to help organizations analyze automated data access patterns in order to identify threats against sensitive data.
Vormetric intends for users to perform queries to obtain information from the feeds produced by Vormetric’s encryption system and the data security manager.
The offering also features a second level of security for detecting attacks against the security management infrastructure and accounts.
