Bae-systems-logo_ExecutiveBiz1Anne Healey, formerly director of national business development at Calian’s aerospace and defense sector, has joined BAE Systems as general manager of group business development in Canada.

She has been in the role since mid May, succeeding Caroline Elliott who will move into a senior business development position for the company’s Seoul-based group, BAE Systems said Tuesday.

Llyr Jones, BAE Systems vice president for Latin America and Canada, said Healey will bring her defense and security sector experiences to the company as BAE Systems intends to fulfill the defense procurement needs of the Canadian government.

Healey previously served as executive director at the Canadian division of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems after holding the roles of account director in procurement at Hill+Knowlton, business management director at the former EADS Canada and GM of Canadian Defense Industries Association.

Healey is a member of the Defense Industrial Advisory Committee, where she provides sector feedback to the National Defense Department’s assistant deputy minister.

She was once a president of Women in Defense and Security, a Canadian Defense and Security Industries Association non-profit affiliate.
