Oracle PartnerNetwork member Informatica has integrated its Data Archive Smart Partitioning tool with Oracle ZFS Storage Appliances for data management functions such as storage tiering, compression, data set optimization and archiving.
Amit Walia, senior vice president and general manager of Informatica’s ILM business unit, said Thursday  the partnership intends to address customer concerns regarding performance and access as their data management work grows.
“This architecture can simplify data management tasks for application DBAs,” said Scott Tracy, vice president for storage software at Oracle.
The integrated product was demonstrated at the Collaborate 14 forum for Oracle users this week in Las Vegas.
