Hitachi Data Systems Federal Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Data Systems, has entered into a distribution partnership with Avnet Government Solutions, a newly formed wholly owned subsidiary of Avnet Technology Solutions.
Throught the partnership, Avnet will provide services to HDS’ partners that include capture assistance, compliance, process management and deployment of converged infrastructure, according to HDS.
“Our partnership with Avnet Government Solutions represents a unique, symbiotic relationship between two organizations that are steadfastly committed to meeting the extensive needs of the federal government,” said Mike Tanner, president and CEO of HDS Federal.
“This single distribution partnership allows us to consolidate and create an efficient, consistent environment that will maximize our investment in the federal space and, in turn, improve the level of service to federal agencies,” he added.
The main purpose of the partnership is for Hitachi’s virtualization, cloud, mobility and big data offerings to be better distributed throughout federal IT infrastructures and its partner network.
“The U.S. federal government wants to transform mountains of data into useful insights to better serve its citizens,” said Ray Ramey, vice president and general manager of Avnet Government Solutions.
