Northrop Grumman‘s joint venture has recently marked the anniversary of its aviation support to the Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard, which began with the delivery and integration of 12 MD530F rotary-wing aircraft in May 2013.
“This is a significant milestone for our partnership and we look forward to continued program excellence,” Bob Coffey, general manager of the joint venture Vinnell Arabia, said Friday.
Vinnell Arabia has teamed with aviation companies PAE, AAR, QinetiQ North America and S3 to provide on-site support to MNG, such as sustainment, training and operations.
Other milestones include zero safety incidents in more than 500 flights, at least 25 trained and qualified MD530F pilots and more than 90 percent operational readiness, the company stated.
“This partnership is extremely important to us as we build our presence in Saudi Arabia and enables us to deliver the highly experienced and innovative support needed to meet our customers’ requirements,” said Walid Abukhaled, Northrop Grumman’s chief executive for Saudi Arabia.
He noted the company has been supporting MNG in other areas for almost 40 years.
