BoeingLogo1 EbizBoeing has completed their second Mexsat 720HP geomobile satellite for the Mexican government, Boeing said Monday.

The satellite is named Morelos 3 and will be joining the first that was completed November 2013, Centenario, in storage awaiting launch.

Boeing, working with The Mexican Ministry of Communications and Transportation, is now closer to their goal of enhanching Mexico’s mobile communications capabilities for government applications.

“The two Boeing 702HP satellites for the Mexsat system represent Boeing’s fourth generation of satellites for Mexico,” said Craig Cooning, CEO of Boeing Satellite Systems International. “The teamwork and collaboration involved between Boeing and the Mexsat team have been instrumental in bringing the system closer to completion.”

Boeing is tasked with the designing and delivery of an integrated Mexsat system that will provide high-data mobile, voice and data services for government agencies, as well as improving telecommunications in remote parts of the country.
