Computer, EngineeringA consortium of Atos, Accenture and Hewlett-Packard will maintain Europe’s public security information system under a framework contract with the European Agency for Large-Scale IT Systems.

Consortium lead Atos will work to define requirements and validate software for the Schengen Information System II, Accenture said Friday.

Accenture is responsible for extending SIS’ system performance, as well as providing user support, training and technical assistance services and HP will supply server, storage and network infrastructure services.

The contract covers three years, with room for a one-year extension.

“We are pleased to have been chosen for this project, our experience of working as part of a consortium on the EU-VIS system will enable valuable synergies and support delivery excellence for our client eu-LISA,” said Mark Crego border and identity services business lead at Accenture.

National border control, customs and police authorities use the SIS II information system to exchange information.
