Ted Davies_Unisys_EMTed Davies, Unisys corporate vice president and president of its federal systems unit, has been appointed executive vice chairman at the American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council.

He is slated to be named as the nonprofit organization’s board chairman next year, Unisys announced Friday.

“ACT/IAC plays a unique role in facilitating the collaboration between government and industry to address challenges that are multi-dimensional and require cross-functional leadership,” Davies said.

“I look forward to broadening participation to include more government and industry professionals in acquisition, finance, human resources and other areas to help identify solutions to ongoing challenges that will have a higher chance for successful implementation,” he added.

Davies helped found the group’s executive advisory council and co-chaired an executive leadership conference hosted by the group in 2012.

He chairs the board of the United Way of the National Capital Area, and is a board member at the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Greater Washington Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America.
