curtiss-wright-logo_GovConWireCurtiss-Wright has launched a rugged mobile Internet Protocol router subsystem for military ground vehicles and aircraft, Military & Aerospace Electronics reported Friday.

John Keller writes Curtiss-Wright’s Ashburn, Virginia-based defense solutions division worked to incorporate a Cisco-developed gigabit Ethernet switch into the new variant of the Parvus DuraMAR 5915 component.

The combination of the Cisco 5915 router and Cisco ESS 2020 Ethernet switch increases the number of DuraMAR’s ports to 23, according to the report.

System integrators will be able to deploy data, video and voice services in mobile, airborne, ground, manned and unmanned vehicles, as well as sensor applications, by using the DuraMAR 5915 subsystem, Keller reports.
