Exelis-logo, ExecutiveMosaicExelis has won a foreign military sales contract worth at least $9 million to provide the Saudi Arabian National Guard with ground control approach radar for military air traffic management operations.

The company said Monday it will supply SANG with the GCA-2020 radar as part of the contract awarded through the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.

According to Dave Prater, Exelis vice president and general manager for radar, reconnaissance and undersea systems, the contract builds on the company’s relationship with the Mideast region and Saudi Arabia itself.

Exelis said GCA-2020 features primary and secondary surveillance and precision approach capabilities to guide aircraft landings and control air traffic.
