L-3 Communications will host an international cybersecurity training and certification program on a company-operated, private cloud computing environment environment that will include introductory cyber defense practices, strategies and plans.
The company’s national security solutions business will work with the Cyber Security Forum Initiative to carry out the program, L-3 said Tuesday.
Paul de Souza, president of CSFI, said the nonprofit organization launched the education program with the goal of helping customers have a “sophisticated, customizable, real-world cyber training experience.”
“The L-3 NSS Cyber Range offers us the speed and flexibility we need to quickly replicate networks and attack scenarios in order to evaluate tools, tactics and techniques in the cyber arena,” said de Souza.
“Since its founding in 2009, (CSFI)Â has played an important role in educating national security customers about the importance of cyber defense and providing cyber training for military and civilian customers,” said Les Rose, president of L-3’s national security solutions business.
“We are delighted that the CSFI team has selected our secure private-cloud test and evaluation environment–the L-3 NSS Cyber Range–to host training courses at locations around the globe.”
