IBMlogo3 EbizIBM Corp. has teamed with Shanghai Wind Information to offer cloud-based analytics tools to Wind Info’s customers with the goal of helping them meet regulations and reduce financial risks.

Wind Info will integrate IBM’s risk management software into the company’s trading terminals to develop a hybrid tool for processing risk data in the cloud, IBM said Thursday.

The Chinese financial services provider intends for the software tool to aid traders in complying with regulations in China over risk monitoring and reporting when buying and selling stocks, bonds and other financial products.

“With its extensive Chinese-specific market data and IBM’s risk solutions and expertise, Wind Info is in the unique position to deliver a risk service focused on the specific characteristics of the financial markets in China,” said Andrew Aziz, director of risk analytics at IBM.

“We’re pleased to be teaming with Wind Info to help their clients optimize their trading decisions.” Added Aziz.

The software offering will be available in late 2014.
