Greg Barsby, formerly head of KBR‘s defense and government services business in the Asia-Pacific region, has joined QinetiQ as managing director of its Australian segment and successor to Alan Woolford, who will return to the U.K.
QinetiQ said Monday Barsby will begin work for his new role in October and will be based at the company’s office in Canberra.
“He brings a background in defence, extensive experience of leading services and consultancy businesses and a strong understanding of technology, making him well-suited to lead QinetiQ Australia through its next chapter,” said Bruce Loxton, chairman of the board.
Barsby has previously served as commanding officer of technology-based training and in other assignments during the five years he spent in the Australian army.
