northrop-Grumman_BLUEScott Harris, formerly head of customer business at Qantas Defense Services, has joined Northrop Grumman as head of aerospace programs for the company’s business organization Australia.

He will report to Northrop Grumman Australia CEO Ian Irving and be responsible for Northrop’s aerospace systems sector operations across the country and the region, the company said Tuesday.

Harris will also report on his strategic plans to Mary Glickman, director of international strategic positioning within Northrop’s aerospace systems sector.

“This newly created role is an important step in the development of Northrop Grumman Australia, aligning the existing Aerospace Systems Sector regional operations with the strategic direction we’re developing here at Northrop Grumman Australia,” Irving said.

Harris joined Northrop after the company completed its acquisition of Qantas Defence Services.

He previously served in the Australian military as a lieutenant colonel before he joined Qantas.
