CGI-logo - ExecutiveMosaicCGI will help update the Norwegian capital public school system’s information technology infrastructure under a $61 million project of the Agency for Education in the City of Oslo.

The contract involves transitioning the ICT system to a cloud-based architecture and address school requirements for a six-year base period of performance and two-year option to extend, CGI said Wednesday.

This award extends the Montreal-based company’s longtime partnership with UDE in ICT development and management of Oslo’s public schools.

“We are looking forward to a new ICT solution that ensures all schools in Oslo can efficiently plan, organize, implement, evaluate and monitor student learning activities,” UDE Director Astrid Sognen said.

“Simultaneously, the solution will ensure that all students who attend public schools in Oslo have equal opportunities to use it.”

UDE oversees 172 public schools with a total population of 90,000 students and teachers.
