FireEye_logo_EMFireEye has unveiled a new cybersecurity platform that aims to help enterprise users expedite the process of analyzing security incidents.

The Investigation Analysis System is intended to operate as a standalone appliance or with the company’s forensics technology that works to extract metadata and monitor network traffic, FireEye said Monday.

The company designed the platform with the goal of helping information technology professionals determine how an attacker got into the network, the extent of damage and how long a cyber system has been under attack.

Manish Gupta, senior vice president of products at FireEye, said the company seek to accelerate the incident analysis and response process through the technology.

FireEye’s Investigation Analysis System offering is also built with customizable dashboards as well as workflow management, node visibility and big data query tools.
