Marilyn Crouther, senior vice president and general manager of the U.S. public sector business of HP Enterprise Services, leads the company’s partnership with the nonprofit Boot Campaign to provide support for injured soldiers.

Melanie Dunham, Boot Campaign communications director, wrote in a piece published Thursday that HP’s Home of the Brave project has teamed with the organization to provide volunteers and comfort items to 48 hospitals under the Veterans Health Administration.

“Whether physically or by giving, each of us has something to contribute; there’s always something we can do for others, from an encouraging word to helping out,” said Crouther, a Home of the Brave executive sponsor.

She said the partnership aims to expand its reach to more VA medical centers.

Crouther also aims to help foster other veteran-focused services, such as a veteran hiring program that seeks to leverage leadership and other qualities among service members as well as workforce diversity.

Dunham notes that Crouther has expressed longtime support for the military as several family members have served in the armed forces.
