Cisco-LogoEbizCisco has added an Internet of Things focus to its channel partner program in an effort to help Cisco partners identify opportunities in the IoT technology market.

Steve Benvenuto, Cisco senior director of business development, writes Thursday the company launched three specialization programs designed to offer collaborators IoT-specific tools and training.

The company will offer the Connected Safety and Security, Industry Expert and Manufacturing specializations to its product resellers and operational technology partners, according to Benvenuto.

He says Cisco is scheduled to hold a webcast on Wednesday and Thursday to discuss the initiative.

Benvenuto projects the market for Internet-connected devices to be worth $19 trillion in 10 years.
