Scott-Scheimreif_Iridium_EMScott Scheimreif serves as executive vice president for Iridium’s government programs division where he is responsible for the company’s overall government sales, marketing and business development strategies with an emphasis on the U.S. defense and intelligence markets.

He also leads the oversight of the management and delivery of Iridium’s product and services portfolio into new military and government markets.

Iridium credits the 10-year company veteran for his work to double Iridium’s government business and to introduce new products and services intogovernment marketplace.

He led Iridium’s strategic efforts to design and launch a global netted service, known as the Distributed Tactical Communications Systems, in response to a demand to provide tactical voice and data communications for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Scheimreif oversaw the modernization and evolution of the DoD-dedicated Iridium gateway through a series of updates and sought to ensure interoperability through the transition to Iridium NEXT, Iridium’s next-generation satellite constellation.

Scheimreif holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Salisbury University and is a member of the Armed Forces Communication Electronics Association.
