Raytheon has partnered with commercial suppliers to pinpoint technology opportunities in ship system integration and other shipyard operations in the fields of mobile wireless communications, workflow and asset management and prognostics.
The company said Dec. 23 that its supplier innovation team recently organized a forum for these suppliers as Raytheon seeks to foster collaboration to bolster innovation in “waterfront” technologies and address market needs.
Kevin Peppe, a vice president at Raytheon, noted that the collaboration aims to facilitate improvements in shipyard performance, costs and efficiency for the U.S. Navy and other partners.
Participants in the forum include small businesses and other suppliers from around the U.S.
