Nancy Higgins Receives Carol Marshall Award for Innovation in Corporate Ethics

Nancy Higgins, chief ethics and compliance officer at Bechtel, has received the 2014 Carol Marshall Award for Innovation in Corporate Ethics.

The Ethics Resource Center intends for the recognition to honor a chief ethics and compliance officer who has led the development of a company’s ethics and compliance program, Bechtel said Nov. 14.

Higgins was credited for having served as chair of the Defense Industry Initiative’s working group on business ethics and conduct between 1997 and 2001.

She also developed a training program intended to engage Bechtel employees across the world in group discussions and analysis of real-world ethics challenges facing the workers.
