Africa Aerospace and DefenseAustralian engineering firm Varley Group aims to expand its presence in the U.S. aerospace and defense market by acquiring and partnering with U.S.-based companies.

Varley is seeking a strategic partnership that would leverage synergies and help the parties market offerings across the U.S. and Pacific Rim, the company said Wednesday.

The Australian firm says it looks to collaborate with or acquire a U.S. engineering company that holds previous experience in the D&A field and owns technologies, intellectual property and manufacturing assets.

Varley also opts for a strategic partner who has growth history, a customer base and contract vehicles.

The company has supported Lockheed Martin‘s F-35 fighter program as well as Northrop Grumman‘s Global Hawk and Triton unmanned aircraft programs.
