Deloitte Unveils New Analytics Platform for Internal Auditors; Carey Oven Comments

Deloitte has launched a new analytics platform intended to provide end-to-end audit processing using data visualization, risk sensing and analytic techniques.

The platform is designed to assist auditors in identifying and reporting on organizational risk, monitoring transactions and determining the root cause of issues, Deloitte said Monday.

“This new analytics platform is just one way that we are delivering measurable and enduring impact to our clients by helping them to better manage enterprise risks and provide actionable audit results,” said Carey Oven, managing partner of the internal audit transformation practice at Deloitte & Touche LLP.

The analytics platform works to combine and measure indicators and profiles using a risk engine with predefined rules in order to assign the types of risk scores.

Deloitte sources the data attributes from fraud perception indices, address validation and compliance lists from the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Auditors will be able to access the platform via a Web-based interface to review and investigate the risk profiles.
