cyber hack network computerA fresh Research and Markets report forecasts that demand for cloud-based security services will propel the global aviation cybersecurity market to a compound annual growth rate of 5.94 percent from 2014 through 2019.

Research and Markets said Friday end-users are turning to cloud-based security services due to ease of management.

“Cyber threats are a major concern for the aviation sector because of the increased use of mobile devices and applications,” the market research firm added.

Research and Markets noted an increase in the aviation sector’s implementation of information technology security services in an effort to monitor threats and protect critical infrastructure.

The report profiles BAE Systems, Boeing, Booz Allen Hamilton, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon among tier-one market vendors.
