delphix-squareGene Kim, author and DevOps thought leader, will deliver the keynote address at an April 8 development operations event in Pentagon City, Va. to be hosted by virtual data-as-a-service company Delphix.

The event will start at 11 a.m. at The Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City.

The event will present how companies and agencies can achieve measurable and repeatable benefits in DevOps, how DevOps collaboration can help accelerate time to market and improve application development cycles.

Kim and other IT executives will share their perspectives on adopting DevOps methods and describe what they see as potential impacts those approaches can have on reducing costs and increasing performance.

“Agencies today are struggling to find ways to meet the mandates of consolidation, modernization and moving to the cloud with flat or even declining budgets,” said Ted Girard, VP of public sector, Delphix. “DevOps can help agencies meet their mission requirements without compromising service for our troops or citizens. This event is designed to give IT execs the tools they need to use DevOps to get applications developed faster with little or no downtime.”

Delphix has eight other DevOps events planned in North American cities such as Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Houston, Portland, New York, Calgary and Toronto in Canada.
