cyber security imageElma Electronic has launched a series of Cisco-certified fanless routers designed to facilitate secure transmission of data, video and voice communications across wired and wireless systems during military, disaster recovery, emergency response and other mission-critical operations.

The SWaP-optimized S50E-1 Rugged Cisco 5915 router is equipped with a rugged chassis design and three switching ports, while the S50E-2 Mobile Cisco Router/Ethernet Switch system has a couple of Gigabit Ethernet ports and modular design construction that allows users to configure data storage capability and central processing unit options, Elma Electronic said Thursday.

The Cisco Mobile Ready Net platform-powered compact routers use Cisco Enterprise IOS software meant to reduce training costs.
