Vion Launches Platform for Rapid Big Data Analysis; Tom Frana Comments

Vion Corp. has introduced a preconfigured tool designed to help commercial enterprises, government agencies and military branches process, analyze, deploy and secure big data workloads in short amounts of time.

The company said Tuesday its DataAdapt Big Data Analytical Platform is equipped with DataAdapt S1000 Rapid Deploy and DataAdapt S2000 CyberSecure programs that work to secure large sets of data.

Vion President and CEO Tom Frana, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2015, said the company built the platform to simplify and shorten “the time it takes for organizations to recognize the value of big data analytics.”

The platform contains three applications designed for rapid analysis of big data, including DataAdapt A3000 Advanced Analytics, DataAdapt A2000 Threat Detect and DataAdapt A1000 Active Insight.

The platform is linked to the MapReduce programming model and Revolution programming language for statistical computing and works to help users analyze and share data via a single dashboard, the company said.
