The U.S. Air Force Space Command plans to hold a two-part public forum in July and September to brainstorm aerospace and cyber technology ideas with academic, research and commercial organizations.
First part of the AFSPC Innovation Summit will be held on July 8 and 9 and will include a presentation from the command’s chief scientist on technological challenges and innovations, the Air Force said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Monday.
“Our hope is that industrial and commercial sector visionaries go beyond boundaries and constraints and make assumptions on… how we can develop and maintain our warfighting edge for years to come,” the military service added.
AFSPC expects participants to share their strategies to help sustain the U.S.’ space and cyberspace technological edge during the summit’s second part, which could take place in early September.
The forum series will take place at Scitor‘s facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
