A consortium of CH2M Hill, EnergySolutions, Fluor, Rolls-Royce and SNC-Lavalin has been selected to operate several nuclear research and development laboratories in Canada.
The Canadian National Energy Alliance team will work to manage Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and decommission old materials at the Chalk River and Whiteshell facilities, three prototype reactor sites and the Laprade heavy water storage facility, CH2M Hill said Monday.
CH2M Hill leads the CNEA consortium.
“We are eager to support the government of Canada in delivering on CNL’s waste and decommissioning responsibilities, supporting nuclear federal commitments and service customers of the laboratories,” said Dyan Foss, global managing director of CH2M’s nuclear sector.
CNL is a subsidiary of Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd.
