Inmarsat has chosen Globecomm Systems as a reseller of Global Xpress satellite services for the global maritime market as the companies push to expand their partnership in the enterprise and global government markets.
Inmarsat said Tuesday the agreement adds its GX offering to Globecomm’s satellite communications portfolio for maritime customers.
“I’m delighted to welcome [Globecomm] as a maritime GX VAR and to continue to develop and deepen our relationship through this most recent appointment,” said Ronald Spithout, president of Inmarsat’s maritime business.
Global Xpress — a Ka-band broadband satellite network — works to support communications through integration with Inmarsat’s existing L-band network.
