medical health doctorThe U.S. Agency for International Development has awarded Remote Medical International a potential eight-year, $300 million contract to deliver HIV diagnostic kits to USAID and the agency’s partner organizations.

RMI said Tuesday the contract has an initial value of $95 million and comes under USAID’s Global Health Supply Chain Program.

USAID launched the $10.5 billion initiative to acquire and distribute healthcare products in more than 50 developing nations.

“In order to better accommodate the needs of USAID and other federal customers, RMI has opened an office in Washington, D.C.,” said Brian Vincent, RMI president and CEO.
