kbr-logoKBR has been recognized by Hydrocarbon Processing magazine for its work on a petrochemical complex in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

The engineering firm said Thursday it currently serves as project management contractor for the Sadara Chemical initiative and has performed preliminary front-end engineering design and feasibility work for the project.

KBR received the award at the International Refining and Petrochemical Conference held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

“KBR will continue its long-standing partnership with Sadara throughout the upcoming commissioning and operations phases of the project,” said Jay Ibrahim, president of engineering and construction at KBR for the Middle East and North Africa region.

The company said the chemical complex will integrate 26 manufacturing facilities.
