NovettaNovetta has unveiled a new version of its network-traffic analytics software Novetta Cyber Analytics, which features new functions for prebuilt queries, asynchronous decoding and query sharing.

The company said Thursday Novetta Cyber Analytics version 4.4 works to provide near-real-time visibility into the enterprise network.

“As a whole, the cybersecurity industry continues to focus on automating security analysis,” said Jim Cushman, president for commercial and products at Novetta.

“Unfortunately, a good, persistent attacker will always find a way around even the most sophisticated automation.”

He noted that Novetta Cyber Analytics instead facilitates analyst empowerment by providing on-demand information that will help them detect and counter cyber threats.

Novetta said the new version’s added features work to support the detection of advanced persistent threats, speed up response to security incidents and build on shared threat intelligence.
