Air-Force-logoThe U.S. Air Force has issued a request for information on airborne communications systems for nuclear environments as well as pricing and other market details for a potential broad agency announcement.

The service said in the notice posted Wednesday on FedBizOpps that interested parties should submit an abstract that contains the requested information to the Air Force Materiel Command.

Data submissions should include technical concepts, approaches, risks and benefits to the operation of aerial communications technologies in nuclear environments, the notice stated.

According to the Air Force, responses to the RFI should work to facilitate its understanding of the current research and development landscape and existing vendor offerings in the specified field.

The abstracts are due Oct. 14.
