Grant Begley, a leader in the field of drone technology and formerly corporate senior vice president of Alion Science and Technology, has joined UAS Drone Corp. as a member of the board of directors.
UAS Drone Corp. said Wednesday Begley, who has also served as senior adviser for unmanned aerial systems at the Defense Department, brings experience from his work on drone technology development and policy.
“We believe that having an individual with his long track record of success in this industry will add tremendous value to our company,” said Chris Nelson, director of UAS Drone Corp.
Begle held leadership positions in drone programs at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin and was a national director for counter stealth at DoD.
He is a 26-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he also led stealth technologies, policy and advanced programs.
He has served in the 2014 unmanned systems planning committee of the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International.
Begley has certifications in executive program management from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and in executive technical management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
