The Department of Veterans Affairs has selected Lockheed Martin’s Systems Made Simple subsidiary to update a system the VA uses to process educational benefits for veterans and their families.
Systems Made Simple will collaborate with the VA to identify and select beneficiaries, monitor education outcomes and refresh interfaces for the Chapter 33 system, Lockheed said Wednesday.
“Lockheed Martin is proud to be able to continue our partnership with the VA and provide our nation’s veterans the services they deserve in the most timely, efficient way possible,†said Horace Blackman, vice president of health and life sciences at Lockheed.
The company will also maintain the system in an effort to help it mature.
Educational benefits under CH33 apply to college undergraduate and graduate level degree programs, vocational training, technical and professional certification courses, and one-time certifications.
