Parsons has received three awards from the Construction Management Association of America for the company’s leadership and support on federal construction projects with the Defense Commissary Agency and Federal Aviation Administration.
The company said Monday it received the CMAA Project of the Year Award for DeCA’s Joint Commissary Exchange Project, which also won an achievement award in the category for new buildings with a constructed value of less than $50 million.
The Hurricane Sandy Relief Project with FAA is the recipient of another project achievement award under the category for infrastructure with a constructed value of less than $25 million.
“I congratulate our project teams for their outstanding work and commitment to excellence,” said Mary Ann Hopkins, group president at Parsons.
“These achievements would not have been possible without the successful, collaborative working relationships they have established with the multiple stakeholders involved in their projects.â€
The company noted that it provided construction management, program management, infrastructure design and architecture-engineering services for the DeCA and FAA projects.
Parsons worked to expand the Navy Exchange and Commissary at Naval Support Activity Annapolis and the U.S. Naval Academy, as well as provide air navigational aids at the John F. Kennedy International Airport and Groton-New London Airport.
