Heather Shinn, a vice president and program manager in Parsons‘ government services business, will serve a three-year term as a board member at the Construction Management Association of America.
Parsons said Friday that Shinn, who is a Certified Construction Manager and a CMAA member since 2003, will help provide guidance to the organization on its programs.
“Parsons is proud that Heather has been given the opportunity to serve CMAA as a member of their board of directors,” said Mary Ann Hopkins, a group president at Parsons.
Shinn has more than 20 years of experience in construction management and program management that includes work on projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and NASA.
She is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional and a founding member of the CMAA Rising CM Conference.
She was also included in Engineering News-Record’s “Top 20 Under 40” list for the mid-Atlantic region in 2013 and a teamwork award recipient for her work in Parsons’ facilities construction, engineering and technical services contract with NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.
