Virtru will offer its Google Apps-integrated encryption tool to government agencies covered under FBI‘s Criminal Justice Information Services via Carahsoft Technology‘s portfolio for the public sector.
Carahsoft said Tuesday the cloud-based encryption tool is already integrated into Gmail and will soon be available on Google Drive.
“We are excited to offer this joint solution as it is ideal for law enforcement and government agencies of all sizes who must comply with CJIS directives for securely managing, transmitting and interacting with CJI data,” said Terry Drinkwine, vice president of Carahsoft’s Google solutions team.
The tool is based on Intelligence Community cloud security technology and works to secure information exchanges between law enforcement agencies, Carahsoft noted.
