General Dynamics EbizRepresentatives from General Dynamics and the U.S. Army participated in a demonstration for the Army’s scaled-up collaboration software.

Geographically dispersed teams with nearly 5,000 total participants shared real-time mission command data using the third-generation General Dynamics-developed CPOF tool during the test, General Dynamics said Tuesday.

“By increasing the maximum number of concurrent users from 300 to 5,000, the new third-generation software capability enables commanders to collaborate across any deployment and echelon,” said Bill Weiss, a vice president of General Dynamics’ mission systems business.

The test was intended to confirm that CPOF could sustain operations with thousands of users online.

Army commanders have used CPOF since 2004 to plan, rehearse, execute and evaluate operations across geographically dispersed tactical networks.
